An Alberta food-service employer is hiring a full-time Kitchen Helper to support the cooks and keep the back of house running through service.
What you will do
- Wash, peel, cut and portion vegetables, meats and other ingredients for the cooks.
- Operate the dishwasher, wash pots and utensils by hand, and put everything back where it belongs.
- Sweep, mop and sanitise floors, counters and equipment; take out garbage and recycling.
- Unpack deliveries and put stock away in the right place at the right temperature.
- Help with simple assembly and plating when the line is busy.
What we are looking for
- No formal experience required; a food-safe attitude and willingness to learn are what matter.
- Able to lift up to 20 kg, stand for long periods and work evenings and weekends.
- Food handling certification is an asset, or can be obtained after hiring.
