That is the part we do: we confirm your eligibility in writing, connect you with an employer who supports provincial nominations, and prepare the nomination and permanent-residence applications.

August 10, 2026More nominations for Alberta
Ottawa added 200 nominations to Alberta’s 2026 allocation, bringing it to 6,603. Most of the extra room went to the two streams for people already living and working in the province.

June 30 – August 25, 2026Nominations issued are accelerating
The number of nominations Alberta has issued this year rose 40% between the end of June and late August, with the Opportunity Stream running the largest rounds of the summer.

August 11, 2026Rural Renewal round tripled
The Rural Renewal Stream’s August round invited three times as many candidates as its July round. Rural communities are one of the province’s named priorities for 2026.

Two streams built for people already in Alberta
Both are Alberta’s own selection systems and neither uses your Express Entry score. Both need a full-time job offer from an Alberta employer, which is where we come in.
Alberta Opportunity Stream
For people already working full-time in Alberta.
- A valid permit that lets you work in Canada: LMIA-based, LMIA-exempt, a post-graduation permit from an Alberta institution, or an eligible open permit
- 12 months of full-time experience in your current occupation in Alberta within the last 18 months (or 24 months in Canada or abroad within 30 months); 6 months if you graduated from an Alberta public college or university
- English or French at CLB 4 in every skill for TEER 4–5 occupations; CLB 5 for TEER 0–3
- High-school education or higher, with a credential assessment for foreign education
- A full-time job offer from an Alberta employer in your current occupation: not part-time, casual, seasonal or self-employed
Rural Renewal Stream
For people willing to live and work in a designated Alberta community, from inside or outside Canada.
- An Endorsement of Candidate letter from the community’s economic development organization (valid for one year)
- A full-time job offer from an established employer in that community, in an eligible occupation
- 12 months of full-time experience in the occupation within the last 18 months
- Language at CLB 4 (TEER 4–5) or CLB 5 (TEER 0–3); high-school education or higher
- Settlement funds that depend on family size and community

Questions we get every week
Do I need an Express Entry profile?
Not for the Alberta Opportunity Stream or the Rural Renewal Stream. They are Alberta’s own, non-Express-Entry streams. Only the Alberta Express Entry stream requires a federal profile.
I am on a post-graduation work permit. Does that count?
Yes. For the Opportunity Stream, graduates of Alberta public post-secondary institutions need 6 months of full-time Alberta experience in their current occupation instead of 12, plus a full-time job offer in that occupation.
My permit expires soon. What are my options?
Contact us at least six months before your permit expires. Employer support and the documentation that goes with it, such as an LMIA or a nomination based on a community endorsement, can take up to six months to put in place, so starting early keeps your status protected while everything is prepared.
Can I apply from outside Canada?
The Rural Renewal Stream accepts candidates outside Canada who hold a community endorsement and a full-time job offer in that community. The Opportunity Stream is only for people already working in Alberta.
What does it cost?
Recruitment is paid by the employer, so candidates are never charged a placement fee. Immigration services are quoted in writing after the eligibility check, and government fees are separate.
